Who we are

PierDo is a sole-proprietor business in Lévis, Quebec. We make small apps. Bench Price has no account and no server of ours.

Person in charge of personal information

The owner of PierDo is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. Contact: pierdo.dev@gmail.com, or the support page at https://pierdo.net/bench-price/support/. We answer access and correction requests within 30 days. Never send passwords or payment-card details.

Your price book

Bench Price keeps your materials, pack prices with their dates, products and recipes, retail and wholesale prices, price history, fee profiles, hourly rate and currency on your phone, in the app’s local storage and IndexedDB. The currency is taken from your phone’s region. Your theme choice, a small marker that remembers a price-rise check you have not finished, and small counters that space out upgrade offers and the rating request are stored there too. The app does not upload any of it or provide cloud sync. It has no app account, no ads, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no server of ours. We do not receive your prices, costs or anything else you enter.

Android’s automatic backup is turned off for the app, for cloud backup and for phone-to-phone transfer, so your price book is not copied by either. Bench Price does not use your location, microphone, camera or contacts.

Optional purchase

The only network use is Google Play and RevenueCat, to show the Bench Price Pro price, buy Pro and restore a purchase. Nothing is sent when the app starts, and nothing is sent until you open Bench Price Pro from the More tab, use one of its purchase buttons (buy, Restore purchase, or a button that checks the price or a purchase that is waiting), or an upgrade offer opens. An offer opens when you try something that Pro adds, and now and then as a short note after you have saved some prices; it asks Google Play and RevenueCat for the price when it opens. Your materials, products and prices are not sent to them.

Those services process purchase history and status, transaction identifiers, an app-specific anonymous customer identifier, locale and currency, and technical request information such as platform, app version and IP address. The price request names the screen that showed the offer, so a sale can be credited to it. Google Play handles payment details; the app does not receive payment-card numbers.

Pro is a permanent purchase, not a subscription. The app keeps your purchase status on the device so Pro works offline, and keeps pending-payment information to avoid repeating an uncertain checkout. Your purchase status, and any reviewer access code (kept only as a one-way digest), are stored on the device apart from your price book. Purchase-related data supports app functionality, purchase analytics, transaction handling and fraud prevention. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. See Google’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Backups and files you choose

A backup (JSON file) is saved only to a file you choose, in the place you choose, through Android’s save dialog. The same goes for the CSV files and the price sheet (a picture of your product names and prices) that Pro adds. While a file is being written, the app makes a temporary copy in its private cache and removes it afterwards. A backup holds your materials, products, prices, price history and settings, and never your purchase status. A CSV file holds your materials, or your products with their costs and margins. A price sheet shows product names and prices only. Restoring reads a backup file you pick and, after you confirm, replaces the price book on this phone.

Keep exported files private if your product names or prices are private. A destination service handles your exported file under its own terms. The app never uploads exports.

Rating prompt

Bench Price may occasionally ask for a rating with Google’s in-app review dialog. Google decides whether it appears. The app reads nothing from it: it cannot see whether you rated or what you wrote.

More from PierDo

The More from PierDo row in the More tab only opens https://pierdo.net/ in your phone’s browser when you tap it. The app sends nothing with it. The site gets what any website gets when you visit it, such as your IP address.

Sent outside Quebec and outside Canada

Google (Google Play) and RevenueCat process purchase data on servers outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States. Google says it may process and store data anywhere Google or its agents maintain facilities. We send data outside Quebec only through the purchase services and the rating dialog described on this page.

How long

We keep nothing about you ourselves, except tax records (see Delete your data). If you ask, we have RevenueCat delete your purchase record. Google and RevenueCat keep data under their own policies (see above). Data on your phone is deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall.

Children

Bench Price is a tool for people who sell what they make. It is not directed to children.

A calculation aid

Bench Price works from the numbers you enter. It does not manage stock, orders, invoices, tax or accounting, and it does not connect to any shop account. Check fees, shipping and taxes yourself.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information linked to you. Because we receive almost nothing, requests are mostly about purchases: email pierdo.dev@gmail.com. To delete your data, see Delete your data. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Delete your data

On your phone

Open the More tab, choose Delete all data and confirm. The app removes every material, product, price and history entry and your settings, including your theme choice, and starts empty again. It keeps your Bench Price Pro status (a purchase or a reviewer access code), so Pro stays on, and the small counters that space out upgrade offers and the rating request. It also leaves the small marker of an unfinished price-rise check, which holds no prices and is dropped when the app next starts. It does not remove files you exported. Clearing the app’s data in Android settings, or uninstalling, removes everything Bench Price keeps on the phone, including the purchase status and the counters; Restore purchase brings Pro back.

From us

To ask PierDo (shown on Google Play as “pierdo”) to delete data linked to you in Bench Price, email pierdo.dev@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data”. If you bought Pro, include your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.); never send passwords or card numbers. Within 30 days we delete your Pro purchase record kept for us by RevenueCat and tell you when it is done; your purchase stays on your Google account, and Restore purchase brings Pro back.

Google keeps your Google Play order under its own policies, and your Google account’s controls apply; we keep the order number and amount in our tax records for six years after the end of the year of the sale, as Quebec and Canadian tax law require. We hold nothing else about you, so there is nothing else to delete.

Changes

A new effective date marks any change; material changes will also appear in the app and store disclosures.
