Who we are

PierDo is a sole-proprietor business in Lévis, Quebec. We make small apps. Fair Hand has no account and no server of ours.

Person in charge of personal information

The owner of PierDo is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. Contact: pierdo.dev@gmail.com, or the support page at https://pierdo.net/fair-hand/support/. We answer access and correction requests within 30 days. Never send passwords or payment-card details.

What stays on your phone

Your scores, best score, game progress, settings, sound choices and your privacy choices are stored on your phone only. We never receive them. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling removes them. You can also use Settings > Delete all data inside the app. If you share a score, the text goes only to the app you choose; we do not receive it.

Ads

Fair Hand shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on menu and score screens, short full-screen ads after the score screen, and optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch. To show an ad, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK on your phone sends Google data such as your IP address (which gives an approximate location), your device’s advertising ID and app set ID, device and app information (model, operating system version, language, app version), how you interacted with ads, and performance information. Google uses it to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and, if you allow it, personalise ads. See Google’s page Google Mobile Ads SDK: data disclosure and Google’s privacy policy.

Personalised and non-personalised ads

Anonymous usage statistics (Google Firebase)

Fair Hand uses Google Analytics for Firebase, Remote Config and A/B Testing to count sessions, retention and purchases, and to try different ad settings on different groups of players. Firebase receives an app-instance identifier (Firebase installation ID), the advertising ID if you allowed personalised ads, device and app information, coarse location from the IP address, and the events Firebase records by itself, such as app opens, screen views, sessions and in-app purchases. The app adds no events of its own and sets no user ID. In Canada, and when the app cannot tell your region, this is off until you turn on “Anonymous usage statistics” in Settings > Privacy options. Where Google’s consent form applies, statistics follow your answer on that form. Anywhere else outside Canada, statistics start on, and you can turn them off in Settings > Privacy options. Google keeps this data under its own policies. Remote Config installation IDs are kept until deleted, then removed within 180 days (Firebase privacy page).

Remove ads purchase

“Remove ads” is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing, managed with RevenueCat. Google Play and RevenueCat receive purchase identifiers, an anonymous app-user ID, transaction information and device information so that your purchase works and can be restored. Your game data is not sent to them. See Google’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy. After you remove ads, we stop showing full-screen and banner ads. Optional rewarded videos stay available, so the ad choices above still apply.

Rating prompt and links

Now and then the app asks Google Play to show its rating window (Google Play In-App Review). Google decides whether it appears. The window belongs to Google Play, not to us: if you rate the app, your rating goes to Google Play like any Play review, under Google’s privacy policy. The app sends nothing of its own for this.

Settings > More from PierDo opens https://pierdo.net/ in your phone’s browser. The app sends nothing when you tap it. The site gets what any website gets when you visit it, such as your IP address.

Sent outside Quebec and outside Canada

Google (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play) and RevenueCat process data on servers outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States. Google says it may process and store data anywhere Google or its agents maintain facilities. We send data outside Quebec only through the ads, statistics and purchase services described on this page.

How long

We keep nothing about you ourselves, except tax records (see Delete your data). If you ask, we have RevenueCat delete your purchase record. Google and RevenueCat keep data under their own policies (see above). Data on your phone is deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall.

Children

Fair Hand is for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed to children.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information linked to you, and withdraw a consent at any time (Settings > Privacy options does this at once). Because we receive almost nothing, requests are mostly about purchases: email pierdo.dev@gmail.com. To delete your data, see Delete your data. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Delete your data

To ask PierDo (shown on Google Play as “pierdo”) to delete data linked to you in Fair Hand: Block Puzzle, email pierdo.dev@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data”. If you bought Remove ads, include your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.); never send passwords or card numbers. Within 30 days we delete your Remove ads purchase record kept for us by RevenueCat and tell you when it is done; your purchase stays on your Google account, and Restore purchases brings Remove ads back.

Google keeps your Google Play order and the ad data AdMob receives under its own policies, and your Google account’s controls apply; we keep the order number and amount in our tax records for six years after the end of the year of the sale, as Quebec and Canadian tax law require. Anonymous usage statistics are not linked to your email or order number, so we cannot find them; you can turn them off in Settings > Privacy options.

Changes

A new effective date marks any change; material changes will also appear in the app and store disclosures.
