Your progress and settings

Holding Pattern Trainer keeps your progress and settings on your device, in the app’s local storage: your streaks, how many entries you got right for each entry type, which entries you mixed up, your last 100 rounds, your display choices (theme, sector overlay, left-hand holds, radial wording), whether you have dismissed the first-run notice, and a few counters that stop the upgrade offer and the rating prompt coming up too often: how many rounds you have finished, how many times the app has offered Holding Pattern Trainer Pro after a round or asked for a rating, and when the latest of each happened. It has no account, no ads, no analytics SDK and no server of ours. We do not receive your answers, your progress or anything else you do in the app.

No files, no backup

The app has no backup, restore, import or export feature, so nothing is written outside the app, and Android automatic backup is turned off for it. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling removes your progress from this device.

Purchases

The only network use is Google Play and RevenueCat, to show the Holding Pattern Trainer Pro price, buy Pro and restore a purchase. Nothing is sent to them until you open Holding Pattern Trainer Pro in the More tab, use one of its purchase buttons, Restore purchase or Check purchase status, or an upgrade offer opens: an offer asks Google Play and RevenueCat for the price when it opens. They process purchase identifiers, an anonymous app-user identifier and transaction information to give you permanent Pro access. The price request also says which screen opened the offer, and RevenueCat also sees the phone’s language, country and currency. Your answers and progress are not sent to them.

Purchases and reviewer access are kept on the device apart from your progress. Google Play keeps its own purchase records. See Google’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Rating prompt

Holding Pattern Trainer may occasionally ask for a rating with Google’s in-app review dialog. Google decides whether it appears. The app reads nothing from it: it cannot see whether you rated or what you wrote.

The More from PierDo row only opens pierdo.net in your browser when you tap it. The app sends nothing with it.

A training aid

Holding Pattern Trainer is a training and reference aid. It is not for navigation or flight planning and does not replace instruction from a flight instructor, approved procedures, charts or ATC instructions. Your aircraft and the clearance govern.

Purchase-related data requests

Email pierdo.dev@gmail.com, name Holding Pattern Trainer and describe your request. Never send passwords or payment-card details. Remove your progress on your device as described above.
