A calm block puzzle with a fair deal.
Fair Hand is a block puzzle for a quiet few minutes. Place pieces on an 8x8 grid, fill rows and columns to clear them, and see how far you get. The whole game is there from the first launch.
Classic
You play three pieces at a time. Drag a piece onto the board, or tap a piece and then a square. A full row or column clears, and clearing several lines in one move scores more. Pieces cannot be turned, and nothing is timed.
The game is over when none of the pieces left in your tray fits anywhere on the board. A game in progress is saved on your phone, and so is your highest score. The Rules page in the app spells out how the score works.
The Daily puzzle
Once a day there is a puzzle with a few squares already filled and ten sets of three pieces to place. The start board and the pieces are the same for everyone on the same date, so you can compare notes with a friend.
When you finish, Share turns your result into a line of text, such as "Fair Hand Daily 15 Oct: 2,340 pts, 10/10 sets". There is no account and no leaderboard.
What "fair deal" means here
Before you see a set of three pieces in Classic, the game checks that the set can be placed on the board it is dealt on, in some order. If it cannot, the game puts it back, reshuffles and draws again. If none of its draws works, you get three single squares, which always fit. In the Daily, the ten sets are fixed for the date, and the game checks that they can all be placed along one line of play from the start board.
Pieces come out of a shuffled bag that holds every shape and is not refilled until it is empty, so long runs of one shape cannot happen. The same generator serves everyone, and it never looks at ads, purchases, your score history, your country or your device.
It does not play the game for you. Where each piece goes is up to you, and the game still ends when nothing fits. The Fair deal page in the app has the full wording.
Ads and Remove ads
Fair Hand shows ads. A banner appears on menu and score screens and never during play, a full-screen ad can follow some games, and optional reward videos are yours to choose. In Classic, a reward video can let you continue after the game ends, or give you a fresh set of pieces, once per game each. It changes only the pieces in your tray, never your score.
Remove ads is one optional purchase, paid once, with no subscription. It stops full-screen and banner ads, and the optional reward videos stay. The game, the deal and the score are the same with or without it.
Your data
Your games, scores and Daily results stay on your phone. There is no account, and PierDo runs no server for the game. Classic and Daily can be played without a connection.
Ads come from Google AdMob, and the app also uses Google Firebase and, for the purchase, Google Play and RevenueCat. Where the law asks, you are offered a consent choice first, and the privacy choices stay in Settings, where you can also delete everything Fair Hand stored on your phone. The privacy page lists each service.
Fair Hand is available on Google Play.
