Nautical Flags by PierDo · Effective October 14, 2026 · Version 1.0.0
Android package com.pierdo.nauticalflags
Your study record
Nautical Flags keeps your quiz answers, rounds and settings, and the purchase record and reviewer-access state, on your device, in the app’s local storage and IndexedDB. It has no account, no ads, no analytics SDK and no server of ours. We do not receive your answers, rounds or anything else you do in the app.
The record is not copied anywhere by the app: it has no backup, restore or import feature, and Android automatic backup is turned off for it. Clear my progress in the More tab removes the study record from this device and keeps your purchase and reviewer access. Clearing the app’s data in Android Settings or uninstalling removes everything the app keeps.
Saving a flag hoist as an image
On Android, Spell can turn the flags you typed into a picture. The app prepares the picture in its private cache and opens the Android share sheet; the app you pick there receives the picture under its own terms. The app does not delete the picture itself: it stays in the app’s private cache until the system or you clear it, and clearing the app’s data or uninstalling removes it. On the web the picture downloads to your device. The app sends nothing itself.
Purchases
The only network use is Google Play and RevenueCat, to show the Nautical Flags Pro price, buy Pro and restore a purchase. Nothing is sent until you open Nautical Flags Pro in the More tab, use one of its purchase buttons, Restore purchase or Check purchase status, or an upgrade offer opens: an offer asks Google Play and RevenueCat for the price when it opens. They process purchase identifiers, an anonymous app-user identifier and transaction information to give you permanent Pro access. The price request also says which screen opened the offer, and RevenueCat also sees the phone’s language, country and currency. Your answers and rounds are not sent to them.
Google Play keeps its own purchase records. See Google’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Rating prompt
Nautical Flags may occasionally ask for a rating with Google’s in-app review dialog. Google decides whether it appears. The app reads nothing from it: it cannot see whether you rated or what you wrote.
More from PierDo
The More from PierDo row only opens pierdo.net in your browser when you tap it. The app sends nothing with it.
A study aid
Nautical Flags is a study and reference aid. It is not for real signalling, navigation or maritime safety. The current official International Code of Signals and your flag state’s rules apply at sea.
