Cut the pipe you worked out.
A pipe offset calculator for pipefitters, plumbers and apprentices: the travel, the run and the length of pipe to cut between two fittings.
From the set to the cut
Key in the set and the angle, choose the fitting size, and read off the travel, the run and the cut length. The cut length is the travel less the take-off at each fitting and the weld gap at each joint, 1/16 inch unless you change it.
Simple offsets at 11 1/4, 22 1/2, 30, 45 and 60 degrees come ready, or type any angle up to 90 degrees. A large keypad has 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 keys for inches, and a setting switches to millimeters.
Take-offs with a named source
A take-off table covers 90 and 45 degree long-radius butt-weld elbows, NPS 1/2 to 12, and names the catalogue it came from inside the app. If your fitting is not in the table, type its take-off once and pick it like the others.
The working under every answer
Under each answer the app prints the sum it did, so you can follow each step and confirm it on a calculator. The 45 degree travel uses the true factor of 1.4142, not a rounded 1.5.
When two fittings would overlap, the app says so and gives the smallest set that clears them, rather than a negative cut. A drawing of the pipe between the fittings labels the set, the run, the travel and the cut.
One optional purchase
Simple offsets, the take-off table, your own fittings, inches or millimeters, one saved job, and backup, restore and text export are included from the start. Pro is one optional, one-time purchase that adds rolling offsets, miter cuts for 2 to 8 pieces, saddle and lateral cope templates, and unlimited saved jobs. What you have from the start keeps working without Pro. No subscription, ads or app account.
Offline, and a calculation aid
Offsets, jobs and backups need no signal and no account, and your jobs stay on your phone. Offset Bench is a calculation aid, not a drawing or a code reference. Fitting dimensions differ by maker, schedule and standard, so compare every cut with your drawings and the fittings you have in hand.
Offset Bench is available on Google Play. This page has its privacy and support information.
